Dainippon Sumitomo Pharma Europe Ltd. (‘DSPE’) received confirmation that it had been awarded the prestigious ‘Investors in People’ Standard, following the completion of an external assessment in August 2009. This represents a significant achievement for the organisation, and for those involved in the assessment process.
The ‘Investors in People’ Standard is an internationally recognised and respected mark of good practice. The framework has been developed over the last eighteen years with some of the world’s leading organisations, and is the UK’s leading people management business improvement standard.
DSPE has received the feedback report from the ‘Investors in People’ assessor, and was pleased to note that the assessor’s comments included:
“The Investors in People Standard is met (and exceeded in many areas) across the business and its robust application is a real credit to the hard work and dedication of both managers and the HR team”.
“DSPE is a highly intellectual, mature and well run business where employees are trusted and empowered because of their particular expertise and individual specialism. Managers are considered democratic, responsive and enabling.”
The assessment incorporated in-depth interviews with members of the DSPE senior management team with regard to the organisation’s processes and procedures, as well as interviews with a number of other staff, across different functional areas.
