Corporate Social Responsibility

Compassion, ethics and dedication unify Sunovion employees.

Since the Company’s inception in October 2010, Sunovion has focused on building its global infrastructure, throughout North America and Europe in particular, to broaden the availability of current and future medicines. Our goal is to continue to expand our global footprint and deepen relationships with the partners and communities with whom we work to provide innovation, meaningful advocacy, and relevant education aimed at improving lives and deepening the understanding of serious medical conditions.

Every step of the way, our innovative work has been, and continues to be, guided by integrity, compassion and dedication that have become hallmarks of our company. Honesty, transparency and deep caring have earned us trust and recognition in our industry and the communities with which we work.

Environmental Statement

Sunovion Pharmaceuticals Europe takes social responsibility seriously. One of the key environmental issues impacting the area around the London Office in Victoria is poor air quality. In 2016 the company signed a pledge to implement new systems to improve air quality, on a local street level within Victoria and as a result accepted an Air Quality Champions Award. By joining this initiative the company will work with other local companies to drive positive change.

We have implemented a number of initiatives to improve our air quality foot print including; reducing delivery of supplies to once a month and improving facilities to encourage employees to walk or cycle to work.

Charitable Donations and Volunteering

We are transparent about our charitable giving, with data published in our Director’s Report each year.

We have an active Corporate Volunteering programme open for all staff known as Hands On! days. Sunovion Pharmaceuticals Europe provides one fully paid day off per year to spend working for selected not-for-profit organisations which provide community related activities.

In 2016 we took part in the Ruskin Park Project which is part of the Trees for Cities charity. This is a UK national charity that works to inspire people to plant and love trees in cities. The park is minutes away from a hospital in south London and is frequently used by the hospital service users for different therapies or general enjoyment. Our team spent the day clearing an area of the park to open it up and make it a more useable space for the people visiting the park.

In April 2017 we again supported Trees for Cities and helped develop an outdoor space in a London Hospital campus to turn it into a high-quality destination for service users, staff and the local community to relax, engage with nature and enjoy a variety of well-being activities. The Sunovion team spent the day planting new trees.

The project will encourage people to travel through and spend time in the hospital grounds, supporting the objective to integrate the hospital with the local community.

We also run ad hoc events to support local charitable causes, including mental health week, World Parkinsons awareness day and the UK Christmas jumper day.

Code of Ethics

Our Code of Ethics is a reflection of our commitment to compliance and maintaining the highest ethical standards as we invest in our business and our patients.

We are committed to the maintenance of high ethical standards in its dealings with all those with whom it is involved. The Code of Ethics summarises the standards that must guide our actions. All employees, including our officers and directors, are required to adhere to its principles and spirit in the daily execution of their tasks and responsibilities.
